Cat-Sitting, part 1.

My neighbour left for few days and I've been really happy to return the favour she did to me last February, when she looked after Lolly for the whole time I've been away.
So now, parts inverted and she gave me key and instructions for her Pip.
Note to myself: I have to leave her my key, so if I fall from the stair there's one chance somebody finds me body before the date I have to pay the rent.
Back to the story.
The first day I dropped in next door, checked if bowls and litter box were ok and then cuddled the lil Princess a bit.
BUT.... the second day, when I've been there and after I filled her bowl and she looked interested on my company rather then on eating, I left the house with an empty, guilty feeling into the deep of my heart. The image of Pip, all alone next door, just over my same wall, wasn't leaving my mind.
I wrote my neighbour, then, proposing her to keep Pip at my place till she comes back. Said and done.
It has been the beginning of a funny cohabitation.
Lollipop started to hiss and growl making her tail big and furry as a squirrel's one, Pip from her hand (paw, sorry) is bigger than that tiny kitten and showed her that she wasn't going to be intimidated.

Pip tells Lolly she's not going to be stepped on by that "flea".
Lolly shows her disappointing.
Pips cares soooo much!
Night passed by almost quietly. Once the both of them reached the compromise of sleeping Lolly in bed with me and Pip on the couch downstairs, not a noise or hair has flown. Lollipop just slept half under the blankets and head on the pillow ready to check if the enemy could have shown herself at any time. Sometimes she hissed at the darkness, just in case, you know.
This morning, I left the two of them alone while at work and when I came back I didn't find any wound, scar nor bloodbath. Not a ball of hairs were rolling on the floor. Ennio Morricone wasn't playing any soundtrack either.
Lolly and Pip were both all one piece. Pretty satisfied indeed.
This afternoon the interaction reached a better point, for Lollipop at least.
She's finally been able to tell who's living in this house.

Not that Pip cared that much, as I'm sitting on the couch while writing right now and she's quietly sleeping again like nothing has happened.
